More Galaxy Note 5 details emerged. No microSD slot included.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be launched in less than 2 weeks from now. With all the leaks we’ve seen lately, there’s probably very little surprises left to anticipate when the device is officially revealed.

Now serial leakster @evleaks has dropped a couple of new updates including a press render of the Galaxy Note 5 and the S6 edge+ as shown above. This reaffirms the earlier leaked photos that have been circulating in the past few weeks.

When it comes to its hardware specs, @evleaks alleged that the Galaxy Note 5 would be powered by the same Exynos 7420 Octa-Core processor (4x 2.1GHz + 4x 1.5GHz) that’s found on the Galaxy S6/S6 edge. For uncompromised multi-tasking experience, it will get 4GB of RAM and on-board storage starts from 32GB.

If you need more space, unfortunately there won’t be a microSD slot which is a common trend among the newer flagships. However it is likely that Samsung will be offering multiple storage variants but it really depends on each respective market. The screen is said to be a similar 5.7″ (5.66″ to be precise) Quad HD display and you can expect the same 16MP + 5MP camera combination as the Galaxy S6. For the S-Pen, it is worth pointing out that it is now placed on the left side instead of the usual right side. From some photos, the S-Pen is stowed flush into the metal frame and it could possibly feature a press to eject mechanism.

For the Galaxy S6 edge+, it won’t differ much from the current S6 edge except for a larger screen and a bigger battery capacity (rumoured to be 3,000mAh) to boot. Since it is going to be positioned higher than the current S6 edge, there’s a strong possibility that it will offer 4GB of RAM as well. For those looking to replace their ageing Note II or Note 3, are you looking forward to the new Note 5 or the S6 edge+?

In the mean time, you can feast your eyes on more photos of the alleged Galaxy Note 5 below.
