Sony will be launching a new smart phone on 3rd August and it looks like it is another photography centric device. This is likely to be its new Xperia C5 Ultra, which was formerly known with the codename Lavender.
Being a Xperia C series, the smart phone is bound to show off its PROselfie features but this time, the main focus is on the main camera itself. As shown in its official teaser above, it offers to the capability of high speed captures.
From what we’ve seen in its earlier leaks, the Xperia C5 Ultra is likely to come with a 5.5″ Full HD display which has a bezel-less sides like a Sharp AQUOS Crystal 2. Internally, it appears to be sharing the same specs as the current Xperia C4 with a MediaTek MT6752 Octa-Core processor with 2GB of RAM.
For taking pictures, the Xperia C5 Ultra could come with 13MP cameras for both front and back. Like its predecessor, there’s a front facing flash for better lit selfies as confirmed by its leaked manual. If Sony wants to make this a compelling photography focused smart phone, it might be fitted with a high end IMX230 21MP shooter that’s currently being used by the Honor 7. Sony no doubt makes incredible camera sensors and they are found on many of today’s flagship devices but they really need to work on its software algorithm for better picture quality.
