The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be announced officially on 13th August along with its S6 edge+. If you’re clueless on how the Note 5 looks like, now we have a clearer view thanks to fresh leaks taken at multiple angles. This appears to be a sample set to demonstrate Nillkin’s new clear case for the upcoming productivity phablet.
Matching the earlier renders, the Galaxy Note 5 will have a curve glass back which slopes towards the edges, similar to Xiaomi’s Mi Note. Like the S6 and S6 edge, the Galaxy Note 5 will come with striking metallic colours which reflects light to give a shimmering effect.
The design language is the same as well with the use of a metallic frame and it looks like a reverse version of the S6 edge with the slopping lines aligned towards the back. It also gets a protruding camera lens with its LED flash and heart rate sensor placed right next to it. The top looks clean and surprisingly they omitted the infrared blaster and all you get is a nano SIM tray slot and a secondary mic. Looking at the bottom end, you’ll find a headphone jack, microUSB port, a speaker grill and mic as well as an S-Pen silo. Both sides appears to be clean with just the typical volume rockers and power button visible.
Unless Samsung is doubling up its SIM tray slot for a microSD card option, it looks like there isn’t any expandable storage and removable battery for the Galaxy Note 5. Like the S6, storage should come with a minimum of 32GB with larger options being offered at selected markets. In terms of specs, it is expected to retain its 5.7″ Quad HD display and underneath it runs on a newer Exynos 7422 that’s mated with 4GB of LP-DDR4 RAM. With the launch happening on 13th August, Samsung could be selling this new phablet before the end of August.
