The OnePlus 2 will be running on a faster Snapdragon 810 processor which they have mentioned will carry a higher price tag than its current OnePlus One model. They had given a heads up that it will be priced more than US$322 (about RM1,230) given its new Snapdragon 810 processor cost 60% more than the current Snapdragon 801 unit.

To reassure its fans that the OnePlus 2 is still a competitive high performance and affordable priced product, its CEO Pete Lau had mentioned that it won’t go beyond the US$450 mark. With our currency hitting a new all time low, US$450 is currently about RM1,721. That’s about RM500 more than its current OnePlus One that’s priced at RM1,199.

The OnePlus 2 will be launched on 27th July (28th in Malaysia) and everyone is invited to view it in virtual reality. Apart from the processor, they have confirmed that it will be having USB Type C connector and it will feature what they claim to be the most advanced fingerprint scanner.

Will you still consider OnePlus 2 if it is priced around RM1,700?
