Xiaomi sold 34.7 million phones in first half of 2015

Xiaomi is still continuing to grow at a rapid pace and they have sold 34.7 million smart phones in the first 6 months of 2015. This marks a 33% increase from the same period last year where they have sold 26 million units.

Last year alone, Xiaomi is reported to have sold 65 million units, with most of them coming from their affordable Redmi series. For 2015, they have an ambitious goal to ship 80-100 million units which is possible with its presence in big markets such as China and India.

One of their recent sales milestone was their Mi Fan Festival which saw 2.12 million smart phones being sold in just 12 hours. 70% of Xiaomi’s smart phone sales came directly from their Mi.com online store, which signifies the importance of selling directly to customers.

At the moment, their current product line up includes their entry-level Redmi 2, Redmi Note and followed by their flagships the Mi 4i and Mi 4. Right at the top is their flagship phablet the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro which is yet to ship internationally. In case you missed it, Xiaomi Malaysia is doing a Raya promo where you can get the Mi 4i in dark grey and also get the 5,000mAh Mi Powerbank or Mi Piston earphones for just RM12.
