The Honor 7 leaks ahead of launch with new photos and video

UPDATE: Honor 7 is now official. Similar to the Huawei P8 but it gets a 20MP camera, fingerprint scanner and special voice controls.

New leaked images of the Honor 7 have hit the internet just ahead of the device’s launch that’s due to hit anytime. The new images tease a premium metal body as well as the previously teased fingerprint scanner.

Aside from the oft mentioned fingerprint scanner, the device is rumoured to be specced with the company’s own homebrewed 64-bit octa-core Kirin 935 chipset as well as 4GB RAM and a 5.2 inch 1080p display. The device is expected to have either 16 GB or 64 GB expandable memory on top of a larger 3,100mAh battery.

As for the camera, you will be getting a 20 megapixel rear camera with a 8 megapixel front shooter for better selfies. Running the show will be Android 5.1 Lollipop skinned with the EMUI 3.1 user interface

We don’t know what the official pricing will be like yet, but with the launch so close, we’ll probably have it soon enough.

Also, check out the hands on video below as well as additional images of the Honor 7.
