HTC’s next hero smartphone could launch in Q4, codenamed the HTC Aero

Not too long back HTC announced that they will be launching a brand new hero smartphone in an attempt to turn the company around as the HTC One M9 didn’t perform as well as expected. Now there are rumours that the so called hero phone that’s targeted to launch later this year will be called as the HTC Aero.

Twitter leaker @evleaks is the one who chimed in with the smartphone’s coming launch. The new phone is expected to have a totally different direction compared to their upcoming 2016 flagships, which means the Aero will be filling in the void between the HTC One M9 and its successor.

No indication of the specs yet but it should be rocking top end internals including a Quad HD display and maybe a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or MediaTek Helio X20 chipset under the hood. Q4 is still a long way to go and we probably get to see more leaks in the coming months.
