The month of Ramadan is upon us and keeping in with the festive spirit, Google has launched My Ramadan Companion to help keep the season close to your heart wherever you may be.
Accessible via smartphone or via the web, the technology allows Muslims living away from their loved ones connect with one another and share locality relevant information like the sunset time, traffic and navigation and even some tasty recipes to break the fast with.
Depending on your location, Google Now will display a range of relavant cards with the latest Ramadan news and info along with popular YouTube videos and app recommendations that are related to the fasting month. You can even design greeting cards to share with your family, find nearby Halal restaurants and countdown to Iftar time. So if you are looking to get into the holiday mood (or maybe get a better grip on your Sahur timing) you’ll find practically everything you need right here.
