The successor of the Moto G (2014) which is due to be launched any time now, has been spotted in the wild.
From what we can tell so far the device will have a revamped back design on top of some small changes for the device in general.
In terms of specs, the Moto G (2015) is expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC mated to 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory that’s expandable via a microSD slot. The screen on the other hand will be a 5 inch display with a 720p resolution. The camera has gotten quite a major upgrade, with a 13 megapixel rear snapper with dual-LED flash and a 5 megapixel front facing selfie shooter. As far as we can tell the Moto G (2015) pretty much is the same as the previous gen save for a better camera and a different processor but generally sports the same innards and screen.
The device apparently is also booting Android 5.1.1 Lollipop so we hope the phone has a handle on the OS’s apparently battery draining habits.
The rear cover is looking quite different from the previous gen Moto G and it appears to have rubbery texture. It is however quite possible what we’re seeing here is an alternative cover, which the Moto G tends to have multiple options to choose from.
We don’t know much else about the device yet and there’s no sign of a local launch date as of yet so we just have to sit fingers crossed on whether or not this is the real deal.
