The Gionee Elife E8 to feature an enormous 23 megapixel camera and is set to launch June 10th

Following some leaks about Gionee’s Elife E8 smartphone, the 6 inch device will apparently be sporting a 23.7 megapixel camera on top of other specs that might put it up there with the other flagships.

Of the confirmed specs for the E8, the device will have a 23.7 megapixel primary camera that can capture images up to a maddening simulated 100 megapixels resolution. Under the hood, the Elife E8 will have an octa-core processor running 2GHz mated to 3GB RAM as well as 32GB storage. The device is rumoured to have a fingerprint scanner as well, and will be packing a 6 inch QHD AMOLED display to boot.

There’s also some news on the Marathon M5, that it will be packing a very large 6,020mAh battery which Gionee says will be able to run for up to four days on a single charge. They haven’t said much about the so-called dual battery feature but we will have to see it to believe it.

The phones are set to launch in Beijing come June 10th and we should have more information on the phones come launch.
