The LG G4 goes for a two hour dip, will it survive?

Another smartphone takes a dunking and this time the LG G4 is put to the test.

Apparently this isn’t the first time the guys behind itechworld11 have sent an phone for a swim as they’re known for sending lots of phones to their potentially watery depths to test out if they will survive. So will it?

The LG G4 does not have IP certification against dust and water and no where it is mentioned that its given any sort of protection against the elements. So it’s pretty astounding that after sitting at the bottom of a sink for two hours submerged the phone is still perfectly fine, albeit quite water logged. Because of it’s lack of water resistance water still made its way into the back cover and it had to be quickly dried up to prevent any further damage.

So while the phone will be able to take a bit of water it is still not water resistant and you will still need to act quickly to dry it out else you are risking permanent damage. So don’t take the LG G4 to the shower.
