Still want the LG G4? It’s more “affordable” now

The LG G4 is currently the only new flagship for 2015 that comes with a removable battery and expandable storage with a microSD slot. With LG Malaysia’s hiatus in the mobile scene, the only way to get it is via grey importers like DirectD. Initially offered at an expensive RM3,799, they have finally slashed its pricing with a huge cut.

The single SIM LG G4 is now going for RM2,699, which is RM1,100 less and it is closer to a Galaxy S6 pricing of RM2,599. For world travelers or those having 2 SIM Cards, the dual-SIM version is also available at RM2,899.

According to the listing, both Single and Dual-SIM models are identical with a 5.5″ Quad HD IPS display and runs on Qualcomm’s Hexa-Core Snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB of RAM. It also gets 32GB of expandable on-board storage, 16MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS, front facing 8MP shooter and a 3,000mAh battery. Out of the box, it runs on Android 5.1 with LG UX 4.0.

Colour wise, the LG G4 Single-SIM variant comes in Metallic Grey, Shiny Gold, Leather Black, Leather Brown and Leather Red. Meanwhile the dual-SIM variant comes in either Leather Black, Leather Brown, Leather Red, Leather Beige and Leather Sky Blue. Since this isn’t an official unit, the warranty and support is covered by DirectD with two years for the Single-SIM unit and one year for the Dual-SIM model.

How is LG G4 as a flagship device? We managed to get a brief hands-on with the device and you can find out what we think over here. If you’re interested, check out DirectD’s LG G4 Single SIM and Dual-SIM product pages.
