Want a bigger One? The 5.5″ HTC One E9+ now available in Malaysia

If the HTC One M9+ isn’t enough to fulfill your big phone desires, the One E9+ could be the device you’re looking for. Essentially it is the same device underneath but it gets a larger 5.5″ Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560×1440. Being an E series, it is more affordable too as it features a plastic build instead of a premium metal body.

While word has it that HTC might bring this officially into Malaysia, you can buy one right now via grey importer DirectD. Available with a choice of Delicate Rose or Slick Silver colours, the HTC One E9+ can be yours at RM1,899 inclusive of GST.

Under the hood, the HTC One E9+ runs on MediaTek’s MT6795M Octa-Core 64-bit processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage, which of course can be expanded with microSD up to 128GB. For imaging, it gets a 20MP main camera with a single LED flash, which is a notch below is One M9+ dual camera set up with dual-tone LED flash light. Over the front, it is similar with a 4MP Ultrapixel camera with the screen having HTC’s signature Boom Sound stereo speakers. Another obvious obmission is the fingerprint scanner on the One E9+.

In terms of connectivity, it supports 4G LTE with dual-SIMs and keeping the lights on is a 2,800mAh capacity battery. For RM1,899, it is RM700 cheaper than the official HTC One M9+ unit that’s priced at RM2,599. Sounds like a good deal if you don’t mind losing a fingerprint scanner, metal build and settling for a standard 20MP shooter. If you’re interested, head over to DirectD’s HTC One E9+ page.
