The ASUS ZenWatch successor the ZenWatch 2 is planned to go on sale in Q3 this year, as ASUS CEO Jerry Shen has stated that they will be releasing it right on schedule despite reports saying that the watch will only be ready for the market in 2016.
The smartwatch will feature a bunch of improvements over the original, but ASUS was targeting for seven day battery life but the ZenWatch’s successor has a battery life of less than four days on a single charge, which is still above average as far as smartwatches go. Even the Apple Watch only has about a day’s worth of battery life at best.
The watch will be showcased at Computex Taipei 2015 from June 2 – 6 with actual sales expected to start in Q3.
For those of you interested in snagging the original ZenWatch, it can be purchased locally for RM 799.
