Initially announced during MWC 2015, the Lenovo A7000 smart phone with Dolby Atmos enhanced sound is finally here.
The Lenovo A7000 has a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek processor under the hood, alongside 2GB RAM and 8GB internal extandable storage with a microSD slot. Being a phablet device, it gets a 5.5 inch IPS HD display at 720p as well as a 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front shooter. The Lenovo A7000 will also be playing home to a 2,900mAh removable battery and it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
The phone also can be used as a power bank to charge other devices.
Connectivity wise, it covers all bases with 4G LTE connectivity up to 150Mbps (Cat. 4) as well as dual-SIM slots.
Of course the main attraction for the Lenovo A7000 is the inclusion of Dolby Atmos, which marks the phone as the first of its kind. Very much geared towards those looking for an extra kick while they enjoy their movies on the go, Lenovo is also planning on releasing two tablets in the future to also have Dolby Atmos under the hood.
The phone comes in either Pearl White or Onyx Black and it is priced at RM699 for the Malaysian market. During today’s event, Lenovo has also announced Lazada as their exclusive partner in South East Asia including Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. For Malaysia, Lazada will be offering it exclusively at only RM625. Sales will start next Wednesday, 20th May at 12PM.
