ASUS ZenFone 2 officially launched in Malaysia

ASUS Malaysia has officially launched its ZenFone 2 smart phone series in Malaysia. As revealed earlier last week, we will be getting a total of 5 variants with price starting from RM599 for the base model. For those looking forward to own the 4GB RAM variant, is is priced from RM1,099 with 32GB of storage.

The full Malaysian pricing are as follows.

ZE500CL (5″ HD, 1.6GHz Z2560, 2GB RAM, 8GB ROM) – RM599
ZE550ML (5.5″ HD, 1.8GHz Z3560, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM) – RM749
ZE551ML (5.5″ FHD, 1.8GHz Z3560, 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM) – RM899
ZE551ML (5.5″ FHD, 2.3GHz Z3580, 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM) – RM1,099
ZE551ML (5.5″ FHD, 2.3GHz Z3580, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM) – RM1,299

The ZenFone 2 was launched at its Incredible ZenDay event where fans can get to purchase the device on the spot. All 5 models are available but with limited quantities in selected colours. You can get more details of the device in our regional launch post.

From the event, ASUS Malaysia has also announced that Digi will be offering the device on contract as well. On Digi, they are only offering 2 variants, the ZE550ML and the ZE551ML with 32GB. For existing loyal customers of at least 1 year, you can get it free with zero upfront payment during registration.
