Looks like ASUS Malaysia is bringing its ZenWatch officially to Malaysia soon. It has just passed SIRIM certification with the model number WI500Q, which will be distributed by Dynamics Distribution and ECS Astar.

Announced late last year, the ZenWatch is probably the most elegant looking Android Wear considering the rest of the Android Wear players have turned to the more classical round shape. This comes as a surprise as initially ASUS Malaysia had no plans of bringing their first wearable device to our market. Instead, it was only sold at selected countries.

The ZenWatch gets a 1.63″ AMOLED display that pushes 320×320 resolution and it runs on a mainstream 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor with 512MB. There’s 4GB of storage, Bluetooth 4.0, 9-axis sensor and an embedded bio sensor to track your heart rate.

Most recently, local retailer DirectD has started selling imported units of the ZenWatch at RM799. Can ASUS Malaysia priced it lower? If it goes below RM700, this could give the Pebble Steel that’s currently priced at US$199 (about RM715) a run for its money.
