Huawei’s new flagship P8 smart phone is coming very soon. They have just sent invites for its regional South Pacific launch that’s happening in Singapore on the 2nd of June 2015. Announced last month, the P8 comes in 2 versions, a standard 5.2″ model and a huge 6.8″ phablet version. There’s also a third model, the P8 Lite which could be making its debut in Singapore as well.

To recap on the specs, the P8 features a 5.2″ Full HD display and it runs on their top end Kirin 930/935 Octa-Core processor with 3GB of RAM. It also boast a world’s first 4-colour 13MP main camera that shoots in RGBW format with Optical Image Stabilisation. For selies, it gets a 8MP main shooter. Keeping the device running is a 2,600mAh capacity battery which Huawei claims to last up to 1.5 days on average or 1 day on heavy usage.

The P8 max, is their super-sized phablet which comes with similar underpinnings as the regular P8. The battery is larger at 4,360mAh which is rated to last up to 2 days of average use, however the camera is a notch down with a 5MP front shooter.

Both models support 4G LTE with dual-SIM. If you need expandable memory, the secondary SIM slot can also be used as a microSD expansion slot. The P8 is 6.4mm thin while the P8 Max is slightly thicker at 6.8mm.

In terms of price, the P8 standard version goes for 499 Euros (RM1958) and 599 Euros (RM2352) for the premium model. The larger 6.8″ Huawei P8 max is priced at 549 Euros (RM2155) for standard and 649 Euros (RM2548) for Premium.

With the regional launch happening next month, we can expect Huawei to bring both devices to our shores shortly after that.
