Is HTC Malaysia launching only the One M9+ and Desire 826 next week?

HTC will be launching its latest flagship offering in Malaysia next week on 28th April. From the clues revealed by HTC, the 5.2″ HTC One M9+ would be making its way to Malaysia and this was verified by its listing under our local SIRIM database.

According to GadgetMTech, which obtained a dealer invite as shown above, the Desire 826 would be launched in Malaysia as well. This is a new mid-range smart phone that features a 5.5″ Full HD display and it runs on a Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB RAM and has 16GB of storage which is expandable. It gets a 13MP f/2.0 camera at the back while selfies are taken by a front facing 4MP Ultrapixel camera.

It also supports 4G LTE and dual-SIM slots, making this a very similar device to the recently launched Xiaomi Mi 4i. You can read up more about the Desire 826 in our announcement post.

What’s interesting is that GadgetMTech suggests that the flagship HTC One M9 will not be coming to Malaysia. We can’t confirm this at the moment, and it would be strange for HTC Malaysia to do so as its initial teasers of “More Than One” points towards having at least two “One” devices. What do you guys think?
