It has been a while since Samsung announced a high-end tablet and its next model, the Galaxy Tab S2 could be the thinnest tablet yet at only 5.5mm. At the moment, that title is being held by the Dell Venue 8 7000 at 6.0mm and as comparison, the Galaxy S6 is currently 6.8mm thick.

According to serial leakster @OnLeaks, the Galaxy Tab S2 will have the dimensions of 237.17mm x 169.58mm x 5.5mm, which is more compact and thinner than the current Galaxy Tab S at 6.6mm. He also added that the new high-end tablet will have a Galaxy S6 inspired design, so you can probably expect a metal frame with glass both front and back.

In terms of specs, the Galaxy Tab S2 is likely to feature its current performance king Exynos Octa 7 processor as the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. For the display, similar to its Galaxy Tab A series, it would be having an iPad-like 4:3 display aspect ratio, which is the current trend adopted by newer Android tablets.
