Lenovo shows off new smartphone sporting 4GB RAM

Looks like the ASUS ZenFone 2 isn’t going to be the only phone with huge RAM as Lenovo has announced that they are outputting the Lenovo K80, with the same amount of RAM.

Coming in at 8.5mm thick, the K80 has a 1.2GHz 64-bit Intel Atom CPU with 4GB RAM as well as 64GB storage. It will also have a huge 4000 mAh battery and a 5.5 inch Full HD display, as well as Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. The smartphone’s camera will be a 13 megapixel rear unit with optical image stabilization.

There will also be a lower end variant of the smartphone that would sport 2GB RAM and 32GB storage that will likely be substantially cheaper as well. The Lenovo K80 will come in black, red and silver and has a price tag of 1,799 CNY (about RM 1,044) and will be sold in China starting April 30th, but there’s no word when it will hit global markets.
