WhatsApp recently had introduced its voice calling feature on Android. For those on iPhone, it is now out of BETA and being rolled out for iOS users.
The latest version WhatsApp 2.12.1 is now on the AppStore and it has listed WhatsApp calls as its new addition in the change log. However it is noted that it will be rolled out over the next few weeks.
On top of that, the new update also includes iOS 8 extension, where you can share photos, videos and links to your WhatsApp contacts directly from other apps. Photos and videos can be sent quicker too with an instant quick camera icon in chats. There’s also the ability to edit contacts directly from WhatsApp and you can also now send multi videos, crop/rotate them before it gets sent out.
For some iOS users, the call tab isn’t appearing yet but you can start receiving calls from WhatsApp Android users if you’re running on the latest version. WhatsApp will also be rolling out the Call feature for Windows Phone platform soon.
