Xiaomi is now a Guinness World Record Holder

When Xiaomi sold 2.1 million smart phones yesterday, it didn’t just hit a new milestone for themselves. The Chinese brand had also set a new Guinness World Record for having the most mobile phones sold on a single online platform within 24 hours.

This broke the previous record held by Tmall when it sold 1.89 million smart phones during Single’s Day on 11th November 2014. As comparison, Xiaomi had sold 1.16 million units on that same day.

There’s no stopping Xiaomi and its CEO has set an ambitious goal of selling 100 million smart phones in 2015. Not bad for a 5 year old brand that aims to secure a firm spot among the top 5 smart phone makers.
