A new iOS 8.3 update is now available for supported iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices. Apart from the usual bug fixes and performance improvements, the latest update also delivers a new emoji keyboard with over 300 new characters. If you are seeing some weird blocky alien emojis from your friends, it is because they are using the new emojis that are visible to those on iOS 8.3 or OS X 10.10.3.
