You can buy the HTC One M9 in Malaysia before the Galaxy S6 is launched

Among the two new flagships that was launched at MWC 2015, the HTC One M9 is the first to be available for sale in Malaysia. Retailer DirectD is offering the One M9 flagship for RM2,699 which can be yours in either Gunmetal Grey or in Silver with gold frames.

While Samsung is releasing the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 globally from 10th April, HTC has already started selling the One M9 in Taiwan last week. Obviously these units are imported without the official HTC Malaysia coverage but DirectD will be offering 2 years of in-house warranty.

The HTC One M9 retains the same beautiful all metal design and it gets bumped up with better specs for 2015. The front still gets a similar 5.0″ Full HD display accompanied with an improved Boom Sound stereo speakers and underneath it gets a newer 64-bit Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB of RAM. Internally it gets 32GB of storage which fortunately it also supports microSD expansion up to 128GB.

For taking pictures, HTC has transferred its 4MP Ultrapixel camera to the front for selfie duties, while the back now gets a higher resolution 20MP camera with a Sapphire Lens glass and it even supports RAW format. In the battery department, it gets a slight bump up to 2,840mAh. Connectivity wise, the HTC One M9 aims to be a world phone with a wide support over 21 4G LTE bands with Cat 9 LTE support that can do up to 450Mbps download.
