Qualcomm shows off Quick Charge but it isn’t as fast as OPPO’s VOOC Charger

Qualcomm‘s pretty proud of it’s Quick Charging 2.0 tech, with the top tier smartphones using their chipset all packing the technology. To showcase it, they’ve taken the Motorola Nexus 6 and tested three of them with different chargers to show just how great it works; but OPPO isn’t impressed.

More after the break.

The setup has three phones connected to a 5V 1A charger, 5V 2A charger and the last one works on a Quick Charge 2.0 enabled charger. As expected the Quick Charge enabled charger managed to charge the device to 50% in 40 minutes with the 1A model taking it to 22% and the 2A unit charging just to 32%. Of course, this is a test done by Qualcomm themselves and Oppo decided to one up them with this image on Twitter.

It’s pretty obvious that OPPO feels it’s VOOC quick charging tech is faster than Qualcomm’s, being able to charge a smartphone up to 75% battery level in 30 minutes. But if you really want to get a feel on how fast it is, check out our own battery test for OPPO’s Find 7 handset.
