ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi has arrived in Malaysia

The hybrid 2-in-1 ASUS Transformer Book Chi series has finally arrived in Malaysia. Out of the 3 models, ASUS Malaysia is only offering the largest Transformer Book T300 Chi that comes with a 12.5″ display.

Instead of a whopping Quad HD resolution of 2560×1440, we are getting a Full HD display that does 1920×1200. However underneath, we get a better spec’ed Intel Core M (5Y61) processor with speeds up to 2.90GHz, along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage. Connectivity wise, it supports WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and a faster USB 3.0 port. Out of the box, it runs on Windows 8.1 and also included is a 2 years global warranty.

At time of launch during CES 2015, the Transformer Book T300 Chi aims directly at the MacBook Air, boasting a higher pixel density display with a thinner profile at only 16.5mm. For the ultimate portability, you can take out the keyboard dock for an even thinner 7.6mm tablet form. At 1.43kg together with its keyboard attached, the T300 Chi is heavier than most ultra portable laptops but you do get the convenience of an interchangeable tablet and notebook modes in a sturdy all aluminium body design.

The ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi will be available at the end of March across authorised dealers with the retail price of RM3,199. If you’re looking for something smaller, the Transformer Book T100 Chi will coming in much later but ASUS Malaysia has yet to share pricing and availability details.
