Huawei P8 to be launched on 15th April

Just as the dust settles after MWC, Huawei will be launching its new flagship smart phone for 2015. Dubbed as the Huawei P8, without the “Ascend” moniker, this will be their high-end offering in a compact size.

Like the past Ascend P series, the P8 will feature a sleek premium design and this time, it gets a larger 5.2″ display, which is slightly bigger than the current Ascend P7. Word has it that the screen is doing Full HD resolution and underneath it runs on its in-house developed 64-bit Octa-Core Kirin 930 processor that’s mated to 3GB of RAM.

It is also speculated that it would come with at least 32GB of on-board storage and Huawei could incorporate a fingerprint scanner, that’s similar to its Ascend Mate 7. For taking pictures, it could be rocking a 13MP camera with a possible dual-camera set up, similar to its Honor 6 Plus. Keeping the lights on is a 2,600mAh battery which is 100mAh more than the current P7 model.

The event is happening at 3PM in London, which is at 11PM Malaysian time. Check out more official teasers after the break.
