Nubia Z9 spotted next to an iPhone 6

Quite a bit about ZTE’s upcoming nubia Z9 flagship smartphone has been floating about, with its extremely thin side bezels and photographic leaks.

The supposed successor of the nubia Z7, the device is supposed to be announced March 26th and when any big release draws nearer more images tend to crop up.

In this latest batch of images, we get to see the nubia Z9 sporting an rather incredible looking body to screen ratio with razor thin side bezels and what could be an aluminum unibody construction and possibly a fingerprint sensor. Assuming that this is indeed the phone, it looks just a hair thicker than Apple’s 6.9mm thin flagship iPhone.

In terms of specs, nothing has been confirmed yet outside of the leaked AnTuTu benchmark but ZTE has stated that the nubia Z9 Max will have a 5.5″ inch screen and will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 under the hood. Looking back at previous Z7 models, the Z7 Max is a slightly downgraded version of the Z7 flagship and if ZTE’s latest batch of smartphones are following similar ideologies, the SoC of the Z9 Max pretty much means that the nubia Z9 is going to have a Snapdragon 810 too and likely Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
