Sony Xperia Z4 to have an exposed micro USB port

Sony may have not annouced the Xperia Z4 at MWC this year, but it’s certainly working on the successor to the Xperia Z3 and these leaked metal frames might be the proof of that.

These images are basically a comparison between the metal frames of the Z3 and the Z4 which shows that they both have the same Sony Omnibalance design though he Z4 is said to be 1 mm thinner.

More images after the break.

The design is quite similar to the Xperia Z4 Tablet and M4 Aqua that does away with those annoying charging port flaps; like what HTC has also done with the HTC Butterfly 2 so it’s easier to charge while being waterproof.

Aside from that, there doesn’t seem to be many differences between the two smartphone chassis, but we have expectations that the real changes will be under the hood. Perhaps with a better display and faster processor than the Xperia Z3 at very minimum. We’ll find out soon enough hopefully.
