Someone has been testing out Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S 2, as the specs have shown up on GFXBench with specs very similar to what we previously reported.
According to the benchmark, the SM-T815 which is likely the LTE model, is to have a 9.6-inch screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and an aspect ratio of 4:3.
GFXBench does miss the exact spec numeration and it looks likely here as well, the display should be a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED unit with the aforementioned resolution. The processor is an octa-core clocking in at 1.9GHz. From what we know this could be an Exynos 5433 but Samsung could change it to an Exynos 7420 to take advantage of Android 5.0 support for 64-bit processing. There is also an 8MP rear camera that’s reported as a 7MP (another issue with GFXBench) a 2MP front facing-camera, 32GB internal storage, 2GB RAM thas been mated to Android 5.0.2, hopefully with the new TouchWiz UI that will debut on the Samsung Galaxy S6.
The 8-inch model will likely feature the same specs except with a smaller battery and more compact body, with both tablets to be the thinnest we’ve seen to date with a ridiculously thin 5.4mm profile. The tablets are also said to possess a metallic frame but a full-metal body is also possible given how thin they are going to be.
Here’s the full benchmark specs:
