The Xiaomi Mi Note is now available in Malaysia

The latest Xiaomi Mi Note phablet is expected to arrive in Malaysia in Q2 but if you can’t wait, the folks of DirectD is now offering imported units at RM1,699. Since these are direct imports, DirectD is offering its own in-house warranty of 2 years. This is the standard Mi Note with a 5.7″ Full HD display and it runs on a 2.5GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM. It also supports dual-SIM and 4G LTE but do take note that LTE connectivity is listed to be compatible with Maxis and Celcom only.

The Mi Note on offer is likely to pack the same radio bands as the FDD-LTE Mi 4 which only supports 1800MHz without the compatibility of the widely used 2600MHz frequency. The rest of the specs include a 16GB of internal storage which isn’t expandable, a 13MP main camera with OIS and a front facing 4MP “Ultrapixel” camera. Keeping the lights on is a 3,000mAh capacity battery which supports rapid charge.

The Mi Note is priced officially in China at 2,299 CNY (about RM1,322) for the 16GB version while the 64GB version costs 2,799 CNY (RM1,607). Its higher-specced Mi Note Pro is priced higher at 3,299 CNY (about RM1,894), and that comes with a Quad HD display, Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor and a whopping 4GB of RAM.
