It is 2015 now and the OnePlus One, which they claim to be a 2014 Flagship killer has yet to go on sale officially in Malaysia. Meanwhile our neighbours at Indonesia have something to cheer about as the OnePlus One will be available officially through Lazada Indonesia next week.
There’s no invite process and anyone can pre-order next Tuesday, 27th January at 12:00PM Indonesian local time. Only the 64GB Sandstone Black unit is available and they are pricing it at Rp 4,499,000, which is about RM1,301. Hopefully OnePlus would do the same for Malaysia soon.
To recap on the specs, the OnePlus One features a 5.5″ Full HD IPS display and it runs on a 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM. There’s no expandable microSD card, so you’re limited to the provided 16GB or 64GB of on-board storage. It gets a familar 13MP Sony BSI camera for mains while selfies are taken with a 5MP camera. With a 3,100mAh capacity battery on-board, the OnePlus One weighs 162 grams and it is 8.9mm thick. Connectivity wise, it does support 4G LTE and it runs on CyanogenMod ROM. OnePlus is currently developing its own Custom ROM that runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop. You can compare the specs versus other large size smart phones over here.
