BlackBerry Classic now available in Malaysia. Exclusive with First Postpaid by Celcom

The BlackBerry Classic that brings the latest BlackBerry experience in an iconic BlackBerry Bold design is finally launched in Malaysia. It is available exclusively from Celcom with a retail price tag of RM1,588. On Celcom’s new First Postpaid plans, the BlackBerry Classic can be yours from as low as RM338.

The bundled options from Celcom are as follows:

Celcom First Basic (RM85/month) – RM1,038
Celcom First Basic with Max Up All (RM135/month) – RM788
Celcom First Elite (RM235/month) – RM338

All plans are tied with 24 months contract period and there’s an advance payment ranging from RM350 to RM1,000 depending on plan. The advance payment will be rebated back across the first 10 months of your subscription. For more information on the plans including its Max Up All add-on, you can refer to our Celcom new First Postpaid plan announcement post. The Classic is exclusive to Celcom until 1st March 2015.

To recap on the specs, the BlackBerry Classic has a 3.5″ 720×720 display and it comes with the BlackBerry Bold styled physical buttons and trackpad. Powering the device is a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage that are similar with its earlier BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 smart phones. Compared to the previous BlackBerry Bold 9900, the new Classic model offers 60% more display, 50% more battery life and 3X faster web browsing.
