Saygus V2 is an epic Android smart phone with up to 320GB of storage

At CES 2015, a not so known Saygus has a smart phone that’s trying to outdo the rest in a different way. The Saygus V2 which is pronounced as “V square” instead of “V2”, is capable of having 320GB storage which puts the now-demised iPod Classic‘s 160GB storage to shame. For selfie lovers, the front gets a 13MP camera and if that’s not good enough, it even has Optical Image Stabiliser as well.

The Saygus V2’s colossal storage capacity is made possible with its dual-microSD slots that supports up to 128GB each. So in total, you’ll get 320GB from its (2x 128GB microSD) + 64GB of on-board storage. For those wanting to maximise the microSD storage for apps, there’s a rootable version but it isn’t advisable due to potential security concerns.

The device itself is quite light at 141 grams and it uses magnesium for its internal frames. On the outside, it has a combination of aluminium and kevlar materials for that rugged look. Furthermore it gets water resistance with IP7X rating. This lets you submerge the device up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes.

The V2 features a 5″ Full HD display that’s toughen with the latest Gorilla Glass 4 and underneath it runs on a 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM.

That’s not all, it also packs a pair of stereo speakers and a high resolution 21MP main camera that’s also assisted by Optical Image Stabilisation and a pair of LED flash. Keeping the lights on is a 3,100mAh removable battery which can be charged wirelessly using a Qi Charger. So far there’s no pricing yet but don’t expect this to be cheap considering a 128GB microSD card costs about RM400 each.
