The HTC Desire 820s with Dual-SIM and 4G LTE is now available in Malaysia. With the retail price tag of RM1,199, Maxis is offering it from as low as RM599 on its MaxisOne Plan.
While it looks the same as the HTC Desire 820 that was launched during IFA 2014, the HTC Desire 820s runs on a different processor. Instead of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core powerhouse, it is powered by MediaTek’s 64-bit 1.7GHz Octa-Core MT6752 processor, that’s also found on the Meizu’s m1 Note.
The rest of the specs are identical to the original Desire 820, as it gets a 5.5″ HD 720p display, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, microSD slot, 13MP main and a front facing 8MP camera. Both SIM slots are using nano-SIM sizes and its 4G LTE connectivity supports Cat 4 speeds up 150Mbps. It gets a non-removable 2,600mAh capacity battery and overall it weighs 155 grams with a thickness of 7.74mm. You can read up the full specs here.
If you’re interested to get it from Maxis, their bundled pricing with 24 months duration are as follows:
MaxisONE Plan Lite (RM78/month) – RM799
MaxisONE Plan (RM128/month) – RM599
During sign up, you would need to pay 4 months subscription fee as advance payment during sign up, and this will be eventually used to rebate your upcoming bills. The advance payment however is waived if you’ve been an active Maxis subscriber with good payment records for at least 12 months. For more information, head over to Maxis’s HTC Desire 820s page.
