OPPO 3006 appears on SIRIM database with 4G LTE and dual-SIM support

After releasing its OPPO N3 and R5 in Malaysia, the Chinese smart phone maker is now turning to the affordable segment. One of our readers have spotted a new OPPO 3006 smart phone that has just passed SIRIM certification recently. It is listed to support 4G LTE in both 1800MHz/2600MHz and it also accepts dual-SIM cards.

Information on the 3006 is still scarce at the moment but we could get some clues from China’s TENNA certification database. From their closely numbed OPPO 3005 and 3007 model, this new device will have a 4.7″ HD 720p screen and it runs on a mid-spec 1.2GHz processor with 1GB of RAM. The spec list continues with 8GB of storage and it also comes with a microSD slot as well as 8MP + 5MP cameras. At the moment, the device is listed as running on Android 4.4.4 which is expected to have its proprietary ColorOS 2.0 interface on top. Dimension wise, it is listed to be 8.95mm thin and weighs a decent 126 grams.

So it looks like this will slot right between the OPPO Neo 5 and R1L. If you need 4G LTE connectivity as well as dual-SIM support, the OPPO 3006 might be your kind of device on a budget.

Thanks @KevinNgTK for the heads up!
