Dual-screen YotaPhone now going for RM999

If you like the idea of having a secondary e-ink display on a smart phone, the YotaPhone is now more affordable with its recent price slash. Initially launched at RM1,699, the dual-screen device can be yours at only RM999.

To recap on the specs, the front face gets a 4.3″ IPS display that does HD 720p resolution while the back gets a similar sized E-ink display that pushes 640×360 reslution. Unlike the 2nd generation YotaPhone, the E-ink display isn’t touch enabled and you would need to use its trackpad underneath to navigate your way around.

Under the hood, it gets a dual-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon 400 processor that’s mated to 2GB of RAM. It also gets a generous 32GB of on-board storage, a front facing 1MP camera and a main 13MP shooter that supports full HD 1080p videos.

Weighing 146 grams with a thickness of 9.9mm, the YotaPhone is juiced up by a 1,800mAh capacity battery which is rated to last up to 50 hours if it runs solely on its rear display. For faster connectivity, it supports WiFi 802.11n as well as 4G LTE in our supported Band 3 and 7. You can read up more on this device in our announcement post.

The YotaPhone is available in either black or white colours. If you’re interested, just head over to Lazada’s YotaPhone product page.
