HTC M9 aka Hima expected to launch at CES 2015

HTC is going to start 2015 with a bang. Their upcoming HTC M9 or better known with the codename HTC Hima, is said to be announced at a press conference held on 5th January. Unlike the current HTC One M8, details of the new device is well kept under wraps without any clear leaks of the device.

The image shown above is the purported press render which doesn’t really tell much of the upcoming device. If you’re wondering what to expect, the new hardware apparently has been caught by AnTutu and it isn’t far from what was speculated earlier on.

The display is listed as a 5.0″ Full HD unit, that’s similar with its current HTC One M8. Obviously for 2015, HTC is putting more emphasis on processing power with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 unit that’s mated to 3GB of RAM. This is the first time HTC is putting more than 2GB RAM on their smart phones.

The main camera seems to be a 20.7MP unit while the front gets a selfie-happy 13MP shooter, that’s similar with their new HTC Desire EYE. Out of the box, it runs on the latest Android 5.0.1 Lollipop.

We’ll find out more this coming 5th January (6th January Malaysian time) and hopefully HTC will bring this new flagship device into Malaysia quickly after its official announcement.
