Meizu is finally offering the Meizu MX4 with a larger 32GB capacity in Malaysia beginning 30th December 2014. As shared earlier, it will be priced at RM1,299, which is RM200 more than its 16GB equivalent at RM1,099. In terms of colours, it will be available only in Gold and Grey, which can be ordered through Lazada Malaysia.
To recap on the specs, the Meizu MX4 is 4G LTE enabled smart phone that offers a 5.36″ Full HD 1080p display that’s toughen with Gorilla Glass 3. Underneath it runs on a 2.2GHz MediaTek Octa-Core MT6595 processor with 2GB of RAM. On the software side of things, it runs on their Flyme 4.0 OS that’s based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
In terms of design, the Meizu MX4 looks pretty sleek with a metallic frame and it gets a removable back cover that gives you access only to its micro-SIM slot. There’s no expandable microSD slot and the Sony-sourced 3,100mAh battery is not user-replaceable. For taking pictures, it gets a large 20.7MP BSI shooter from Sony and it is assisted with a dual-tone LED flash light. The front however settles for a 2MP shooter.
After this, we can also expect Malaysian distributor Blue Kor to bring in its larger MX4 Pro phablet that is priced from about RM1,400. Also coming in is their budget friendly m1 Note that could give the Xiaomi Redmi Note some serious challenge with its Full HD display and 4G LTE connectivity for less than RM700.
