The next HTC flagship phone is rumoured to get 20.7MP camera and 3GB RAM

HTC One M8 shown here

First of all, the information you will be reading is unconfirmed. But, if the people from @upleaks are reliable then this probably are the details of the next HTC flagship phone.

We’re still unsure of what the device will be called. Popular guesses include, the One M9 — which is obvious — and the HTC Hima, as purported by upleaks but this could just be a code name for all we know.

In terms of specs, the new HTC could have a 5-inch 1080p or a 5.5-inch display running QHD resolution, up from the One M8‘s 5.0-inch Full HD display.

Expect the device to run either a Snapdragon 805 or 810 2x quad-core chipset at around 2.0GHz for the high performance core and 1.5GHz for low-power processing. 3GB RAM is also mentioned (2GB on the current One M8).

In terms of camera, rumours say it’s either a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization or, based on the latest upleak info, 1 20.7MP rear unit with 13MP or a 4MP ultrapixel camera at the front.

Other rumored specs include 3,500 mAh or 2,840 mAh battery, Android 5.0 Lollipop plus HTC Sense 7.0 UI and LTE Cat6 connectivity plus support for VoLTE.

The new HTC is likely to be announced at CES, early next year and we hope HTC is going to bring a whole lot more with the new flagship because anyone can make a device with the latest processor and camera but it’s the innovative features and design that’s going to win customers.
