If using a BlackBerry these days isn’t exclusive enough, you probably might fancy a Porsche Edition. The design-centric BlackBerry Porsche P’9983 is now available in Malaysia and it would cost you a whopping RM6,488. According to DirectD’s listing, this is the official Brightstar unit which comes with 2 years warranty.
Essentially this is a pimped up BlackBerry Q10 that runs on a newer BlackBerry 10.3 OS. The main highlight of course is its build quality as it uses forged stainless steel for its frames while the back features a special glass-weave cover that looks like carbon-fibre.
The front gets a 3.1″ 720×720 touch screen while the bottom is dominated by a set of QWERTY keys with squarish 3D effects. Under the hood is rather dated 1.5GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm MSM8960 (S4 Plus) processor, that’s mated to 2GB of RAM.
For its premium price tag, it carries 64GB of on-board storage which can be expanded up to 128GB extra with microSD. The battery is removable and it still retains the same 2,100mAh capacity as the Q10. For taking pictures it gets an 8MP camera with sapphire glass lens while the front has a 2MP shooter. Connectivity wise, the Porsche P’9983 supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and NFC. If you still use BBM, the BlackBerry Porsche carries an exclusive prefix of 2AAXXXXX.
Would you pick the BlackBerry Porsche P’9983 over the newer BlackBerry Passport?
