The Samsung Galaxy A series is expecting a new family member with a larger Galaxy A7. Sitting above its current Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 models, the Galaxy A7 boast a larger 5.5″ Full HD display and it will be Samsung’s thinnest smart phone at only 6.3mm.
From its certification listing on China’s TEENA database, the Galaxy A7 will be running on Qualcomm’s 64-bit 1.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 615 processor that’s similar with the incredibly thin OPPO R5 of 4.85mm. It gets 2GB of RAM and on-board it has 16GB of storage which unfortunately isn’t expandable. There’s also a main 13MP camera and a front facing 5MP unit for Selfies.
The Galaxy A series is a youthful and affordable version of the Galaxy Alpha. It features an aluminium frame in a one piece unibody design which is probably the first for a Galaxy device. The Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 are expected to be released in Malaysia very soon as both had appeared in our own local SIRIM database. Spec-wise both will be running on a Snapdragon 410 processor with the A5 having a 5″ HD 720p screen while the smaller A3 sporting a more compact 4.5″ qHD display.
