Samsung Galaxy Note Edge to be available in more countries

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is a cool looking device with a display that flows from the top towards the sides. It was announced alongside the Galaxy Note 4 during IFA 2014 and Samsung says that they are making very limited quantities for this concept Note device. So far it is available in Japan, South Korea and most recently it’s heading for the US.

According to Sammobile, the Galaxy Note Edge will be heading to more countries and the alleged additional countries are as follows:

SM-N915F
Russia and Kazakhstan

SM-N915FY
Germany, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, France, Nordic countries, Austria and Portugal

SM-N915G
India, Australia, Singapore, Nepal

If the list is true, it looks like Malaysia isn’t getting it officially, at least for now. With Singapore being included in the list, those who want to get their hands on one can get some help with their friends down south. Alternatively we can probably wait for our grey-importers to offer it too but do expect to pay a premium over the current Galaxy Note 4.

Spec-wise the Galaxy Note Edge seems to be a notch below the current Galaxy Note 4. The screen although it curved at the edges is actually smaller at 5.6″ but that also means that you get higher pixel density from its Quad HD resolution display. The additional curve at the sides extend another 160 pixels extra to the 1440 pixels width at the front. Processor wise, you get a choice of either Exynos 5433 Octa-Core processor or a lower clocked 2.5GHz 2.7GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 805 processor. The battery is smaller too at 3,000mAh versus 3,220mAh on the Note 4.

The overall dimension shows it is slightly wider but it is negligibly thinner (0.2mm) and lighter (2g) than the Galaxy Note 4. You can see how does the Note Edge compares against other flagship models over here.
