Samsung Gear S available 10th November. 20% off for Galaxy Note 4 owners

The Samsung Gear S smart watch that retails for RM1,099 will be available in Malaysia next week. If you’re an existing Galaxy Note 4 owner, you can get additional 20% off (RM879.20) with the Samsung Galaxy Life app promotion.

The discount promo starts from 10th November until 31st December 2014 and it is valid exclusively through Galaxy Life which comes with a 60 minute countdown timer. While the Galaxy Life app is available across different Galaxy models, take note that the offer is only valid for the latest Galaxy Note 4 owners.

According to the promo details, the discounted Gear S can be redeemed from all Samsung brand outlets, and participating retailers at Harvey Norman, Best Denki, Senheng, SenQ, Courts, Aeon, SNS, Onking, HLK, Fotokem, Bintang Maju, Tesco and Giant.

The Gear S smart watch which was announced together with the Galaxy Note 4 in Malaysia comes with its own 3G SIM slot. This allows you to make phone calls and SMS without the need of pairing with a smart phone. It comes with a curved 2″ Super AMOLED display that does 480×360 pixels resolution and underneath it is powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM. In terms of OS, it runs on Tizen and there’s also 4GB of storage for you to load your apps and MP3s for your workout.

It is also water resistant rated at IP67 and comes with a barometer, heart rate and UV sensor on board. Phone calls are done through its built-in speakerphone and mic, but if you prefer to keep your conversations more discreet, you can consider getting the Samsung Gear Circle at RM299, which is a bluetooth headset that sticks together like a necklace when not in use.
