Xiaomi to introduce larger 16,000mAh Mi Power Bank

Xiaomi’s Mi Power Banks has always been a hot seller, selling out within a minutes in each weekly flash sales. If the current 5,200mAh and 10,400mAh capacities isn’t enough for your on the go use, Xiaomi will be introducing a much larger 16,000mAh version very soon.

It is expected to go on sale in China on 11th November at an introductory price of 99 CNY (about RM54) and eventually it will be sold at a normal price of 129 CNY (about RM70). At such capacity, it is actually quite expensive considering its current 10,400mAh model is priced at RM36. So if capacity is what you’re after, it is more worthwhile getting two of that instead.

While it looks taller, the new 16,000mAh Power Bank is said to be slimmer than the 10,400mAh unit but there’s no mention of its weight so far. The current 10,400mAh power bank is pretty heavy at 250grams and it outputs a single USB at 2A.

If Xiaomi is going to charge relatively more for this, hopefully they would include an extra USB output so that you can charge two devices simultaneously. Would you go for this higher capacity 16,000mAh power bank if it goes on sale here at RM70?
