Sony to open Underwater Xperia store in Dubai

Sony has been at the forefront when it comes to high-end waterproof devices since its Xperia Z. To take its Xperia devices to the next level, Sony is about to open their very first Xperia Aquatech Store in Dubai. Targeted for completion on 3rd December, the Xperia Aquatech Store is currently built under the sea about 4 metres under the surface which promises an experience like no other.

Obviously this will be used to showcase their current waterproof range including the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact along with its water resistant wearables. Access to the underwater store would be by invitation only and those who are lucky enough will be escorted by trained divers. Once inside the store, you will be able to stand on the seabed and breathe normally.

Currently Sony claims to have the highest waterproofing for a smart phone and tablet with its IP68 rating. Earlier on, someone has managed to unbox the latest Xperia Z3 underwater. If you haven’t seen it yet, do check out our first impressions and hands-on with the Sony Xperia Z3 over here.
