Redmi 1S goes on sale for the last time tomorrow

Xiaomi’s entry-level Redmi 1S will be discontinued in Malaysia and tomorrow (21st October) marks its final sale. There will be 5,000 units available for tomorrow at RM419.

This is probably an indication that Xiaomi is making way for its upcoming Redmi Note 4G that is likely to be heading to Malaysia very soon. The Redmi Note 4G is a single SIM device that’s powered by a Quad-Core 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 processor with 2GB of RAM, instead of an Octa-Core 1.7GHz MediaTek MTK 6592 processor on the current Dual-SIM 3G version. You can compare the specs of the Redmi 1S versus its current line up over here.

For those who still prefer to grab the smaller 4.7″ Redmi 1S, your last chance is to buy it from the Mi Online store at 12PM tomorrow.
