Sony Xperia Z3X leaked on Antutu with powerful specs

Sony’s been up to something, and it’s going to be big. Since their Xperia Z3 series had been released, a quiet and discreet hush had shrouded around them. Another model has arrived, with the intention of replacing the Xperia Z Ultra, named the Sony Xperia Z3X (for now). What it aims to be is to be one heck of a powerful device with a very powerful camera, in which the Z Ultra was not able to deliver back in the day.

Initially the Z3X was just a mere concept that slowly lost its hype since last year, but had resurfaced recently since its appearance on the Antutu benchmark database. The list of hardware that the Z3X will have is pretty scary. It begins with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit Processor that’s coupled with a plentiful 4GB of RAM, and will feature the all-new powerful Adreno 430 GPU, which Qualcomm claims to be 30% more powerful than its predecessor the Adreno 330.

As for the screen, Sony’s made a tradeoff for screen quality instead of screen size. The Z3X will have a 6.2 inch ( just 0.2 inch smaller than the Z Ultra) 2k display that has a resolution of 2560×1600.

Taking their greatest lesson from their Z Ultra, Sony has given the Z3X some serious camera hardware. Featuring a 22.1-megapixel, 2/3” sensor camera with a wide F1.2 aperture, it may feature Sony’s curved camera sensors, which was rumored back in July. If it is true, the Z3X would be the first device to be equipped with this powerful sensor.

The test unit ran on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, but there’s a possibility of Android L being available out of the box during launch. This monster of a phablet would potentially lead the phablet market, covering not only high end specs, but also image capturing, something only seen in Nokia’s Lumia 1520 currently.
