Is this HTC’s new action cam?

It’s pretty obvious that HTC is going to launch something other than a phone this coming October 8, how will its action cam look like? An eager beaver on Reddit scoured through recamera.com — the teaser site for the upcoming product launch — and found these images you see here.

Could this be the rumoured HTC action cam?

What we can is that it sure does look different from the many other action cams available in the market right now, almost like a periscope. But more than an action cam, is HTC creating a companion camera that’s always on, always capturing your activity making sure you don’t miss a moment? HTC seem to suggest that but we can’t say for sure. Anyway, we’ll find out in a couple of weeks.
